Scattered

I went into this thinking a movie with Beatrice Dalle and Vincent Gallo is definitely going to stretch the boundaries, but sadly this never did. The problem with the film is that it never allows us to care why this is happening or what the connections are. We understand some of it, but we're left to understand that why they are the way they are, isn't important. The real issue I have is the unexplained attraction to Vincent Gallo's character if he had been a vampire and not a cannibal, it would have made more sense, both within the context of the film and historically, as it history pertains to the myth. Sadly, this movies failed on all levels, but I understand the cult status. It's just enough art to allow some viewers to believe there is something deeper, maybe like the Zappa song from which the title comes from, but in the end, it falls flat, with a multiple endings leaving this viewer complete hungry (pun intended) for more.
