I still remember buying this for my 8th birthday in 1988. I thought it was so strange how different it was from the one before it. I didn't beat it until about 15 years later; seriously. My favorite character to play as was always Toad because I liked the way he pulled things up out of the ground so quickly.

One thing most dont know that Toad runs faster carrying a Heavy object im not sure it was a glitch but im not sure it was on the GBA but on the NES i love running through everything invincible with toad hehe
shareI remember too, b/c I had saved my money and went to Toys R Us to buy a copy, but it was sold out. And that was a week after its initial release.
The cover for this game really takes me back. I remember looking at it constantly in the Argos catalogue when I was a little kid. I didn't have a games machine at the time (although my family still had an old Intellivision) and I think I wanted to play Mario or Sonic games more than I wanted to do anything else in the world. It's funny what your priorities in life are before you reach single digits.
