ok, it's not that funny

I don't know why gay people love this movie. Yes it has Olivia and Delta, but c'mon... it's not nearly as entertaining as people want to believe it is.

Leslie Jordan from Wil & Grace was the only mildly funny part of this one. His "okay" to his shrinks rude comments were hilarious, but that's about it.

I thought it had some funny parts, especially in the beginning, but toward the end, it stopped being funny and started being preachy. I understand the whole story was basically a coming-out story wrapped in a comedy, but the speeches toward the end did seem a little heavy-handed. I prefer movies that are there to entertain, not ones that teach a lesson.

The ending when Brother Boy sashayed down the church aisle in a wig and dress at his mother's funeral. I almost lost consciousness from laughing so hard. Leslie Jordan was definitely the best part of the movie.

I'm not gay but I think the movie is hilarious. Perhaps you aren't from Texas? I am, and there are a lot of things I found funny simply because these people are so country and I have (unfortunately) known people like that.

I think Del Shores earlier play and film, Daddy's Dyin'...Who's Got The Will? is far funnier than Sordid Lives.

I am from Texas. And one reason why I left. This movie is just OK, but all I have to do is go home to visit.
It's a parody of truth's.
