Good as a bad guy
Keanu played the bad guy role well. He is normally so robotically stiff;as demonstrated by his role as Neo in the Matrix series.
Should have got higher then 5.2 imo, although I was not impressed by Spaders performance.

Really? This is interesting because I got the exact opposite impression. I thought that Spader gave an average performance (not necessarily bad but not exceptional either) and that Reeves' performance was as if he was trying too hard to act like his normally stiff self. I can just see someone saying, "Oh, you'll be great for this role, Keanu, you've got that whole detached persona down already." And then he over thought it... or something of the like. Obviously I've already put too much thought into this. Ha!
shareyeah he did a good job but I hate to see him play as a bad guy...hes soooo hot and sexy....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :)
shareI have to be honest, I didn't think he was a very threatening or intimidating serial killer at all. I wasn't scared of him and that kinda ruined the film for me as he didn't seem like a psycho.
shareI was thinking that to, then I remembered how most psychos don't really seem to look it anyways. The old joke goes: "He was really quiet and seemed like a nice guy". I thought he did a good job in this movie.
shareIt was hard seeing him as the bad guy but I think he pulled it off pretty well. I was pleased by Spader, Tomei & Ernie Hudson's performances.(even though Hudson had a small role.) Reeves looked pretty devious & evil especially when he was marisa tomei's office.
"I am the ultimate badass, you do not wanna `*beep*` wit' me!" Hudson in Aliens.

I think keanu was a great bad guy... because he was good looking and nice. Like Ted Bundy, it was easy for him to get the homeless girl to like him.... dancing in the streets.
that is more terrifying than seeing a scary looking guy on the street that you automatically go on guard against.
