choreographed dance in a club...

That is about when I checked out... I mean, if it was a gay club I might have given it a pass, but even San Francisco you never see everyone break out in a synchronized dance in the middle of the dance floor.

I would love to learn the steps 100% correct, from that scene, it's brilliant.. :P

anyone know if you can get in touch with Jerry Evans who made it, or even just buy a DVD where you can learn it?

I love thos ekind of moments of the dances that are all times and everyone knows what there doing, just like this movie and She's All That when they all dance together in the prom to the song The RockaFellar Skank, its just soo cool. I have my prom in June and live in the UK and we are trying to get everyone to learn these dances so we can all be in sync haha :)

The dance in the club is the only part of the movie I liked a lot!
I think it was fantastic!
And it is a while back but very often in the late 70s and 80s all would dance the same in clubs(hustle/electric slide to name two)...but of course not as complicated as in the movie!

You must not have grown up in the '90s. Being a '90s kid, I can tell you that a lot of the movies in the '90s (yes, I am aware Boys and Girls was in 2000, but close enough) had choreographed dance scenes. Someone else mentioned She's All That. '90s movies in general don't abide by the same rules and norms of movies these days. They have their quirks and it's beautiful.

Believe me, I have questioned that scene everytime I have watched the movie. Do I like the choreographed dancing or not? I can never decide. By one token I think it is my absolute favorite scene, but, then, the logical voice is screaming "This NEVER really happens!!" Hahaha! I think I do like the scene, though.
