So a friend and I were talking about animal factory, and the conversation grew to my friend telling me prison movies made her feel less uncomfortable than her guy friends when watching them, because she knows for a fact, going to a male prison is not in her future. ANYWAYS, Are there any serious Female Prison flicks that aren't bordering on porn or focused on sexual activity for the viewer's eroticism??
shareI dont think so. Girl Jail prolly isn't as scary. But my guy friends and I always wind up watching prison movies, and they made me watch this 1 b/c it had the boy from T2 in it, and aparantly, nomatter how many prison movies they've seen, they never expect the manrape.
But there arent too many serious girl prison films, simply because girls tend to be more bitchy where guys are more up front physicaly violent.
In Freeway, Reese Witherspoon's character does time in a female prison. The whole movie does not take place in prison, but it has some pretty awesome/disturbing scenes in the prison.

shareI worked in a juvenile residential center. Kids with drug issues, criminal records and the whole bit. That said, having work on both male and female units, let me tell you. The females are typically far MORE violent with less of a fuss than the males. The guys will attack you if they feel they have reason. The girls will attack you just to attack you. Example. I was called in as back up to a female unit. A 12 year old girl had picked up a solid wooden chair and attacked a female staff member from behind. Beat the woman to a pulp. Took 4 of us to pull the girl off. Her reason? She was bored.
