mitford sisters

I coulndn't help thinking about how these sisters reminded me of a latter group of English sisters who lived a colorful life on the english stage., the Mitford's.

all in all a great show,my one complaint however is the 6th show, as they were old, didn't work like the other 5.
maybe it was the different actors, couldn't they have just used the same actors and had a better make-up budget.

I would love a movie about the Mitford sisters!

I enjoyed this mini-series but I agree the last episode threw me. I didn't connect at all with the aged characters. You had grown to appreciate the characters as they were portrayed in mid life and then the characters were replaced with aged actors that just didn't do it for me. Unfortunately, they lost me and I felt no alliance. They should have used the middle aged actors and worked the make up to make them look older.

The sixth segment had nothing of the nuance of the earlier segments. It was a quick and ugly ending.

And, just because the writers know and remember all the names of the 20+ children of the main characters, doesn't' mean the viewers can. A few more intros to the offspring as they grow up would have been very welcome.
