Help with cartoon

Was this movie (or other Mr. Rossi movies) played on cable in the US in the 80's? Obviously they would have had to dub it in English. All I remember is a short little man that looked a lot like the cartoon version of Inspector Clouseau from the pink panther movies, but he traveled to fairy tale lands. The only part I remember specifically is that he met Snow White, I believe. Am I totally thinking of the wrong thing?

Yes, I believe it did air on cable. I never saw it on TV, but a friend of mine, who was a little older than me, had taped them as a kid. He says they aired on the Disney Channel, though there is no Disney logo on the tapes, so I'm not sure. At any rate, they definitely aired in the early 80s, and I have very fond memories of watching his tapes over and over again. To my knowledge there were 3 movies.
Mr. Rossi Looks For Happiness -- Rossi hates his life and is given magic whistles by a fairy to whisk him (and his boss's dog) to other places to try and have a happier life. And yes, one whistle takes him to a fairy tale world where he is mistaken for snow white because the witch has bad eyesight.
Mr. Rossi's Dreams -- possibly the best one, Rossi dreams himself into all sorts of scenarios (as "Sherlock Holmes"-type detective, as knight, etc.) Very weird and funny
Mr. Rossi's Vacation -- probably weakest one. Rossi just can't seem to have a pleasant vacation, what with the slave labor on the farm he visits, the haunted castle, the Yeti in the mountains...

When we were in middle school, my friend gave me a bunch of his old tapes, including the Mr. Rossis (except for "Mr. Rossi's Dreams" which he kept because it was his favorite). I would LOVE to see this in the original, what, Italian? and would love to get a DVD of it.

Makes me want to break out the old tapes tonight!!
