A human film

I find this to be one of Norman McLaren's best works. I'm not sure why the female viewers are giving it such a low rating, as surely the eye-candy alone is worth a 7, even for those who can't stand dance or this classic tale.

Of course, there are those like Nigel Lythgoe (not female, but close) who can't wrap their minds around men dancing together without violence, but for the rest of us, this is a gem.

I haven't seen all of McLaren's films, but of those I have seen, this is his most human and touching work. Here he utilizes some of the tools of abstraction from his other films, but only in the telling of a story of a man, told though beautiful ballet. I can't imagine Narcissus being filmed any other way.
