Is it just me or was Shang Tsung and Kintaro more of a pain than Shao Khan? Lol...

I agree. Kintaro was hard, but he was so much fun to fight. I think because you could land hits on him, so the fight felt relatively fair ... he just hit a hell of a lot harder than you, and had that teleport stomp that would nail you if you weren't being attentive.
Some of the later MK boss fights just felt lazy.
MK3: "Let's just make Motoro naturally immune to fireballs for no reason."
And by MK9: "Let's make Shao Kahn able to just go through your attacks for no reason, hit twice as hard, and take half damage ... and make some of his moves unblockable ... and stun you after said unblockable so he can just do it again and again ... and have no recovery after his charging shoulder ... and give him the AI's ability to button read ... and ..." seriously, at this rate, by MK12 the final boss fight will be an unskippable cutscene where the last boss just kicks your butt.
