Wish Sub-zero's 'Head-spine rip' fatality was in this!

I didn't really like Sub-Zero's fatality in this; wasn't bloody enough like the first MK (in which his fatality was the bloodiest). I guess they wanted to distinguish between the real Sub-Zero and his brother. But still, it would been much cooler if they put that fatality in MK2.

I agree, i wish Midway released the sourcecode of MK2
so people could do some good stuff with it,

like adding MK1 Kano & Sonya :D

maybe add back the SpinBlade move of Baraka, and Sub's SpineRip Fatality.

reply

That would be pretty tricky since there were no "spine ripped head" animations in MKII.

I'm even surprised that they made Sub-Zero even do a beheading with spine dangling in the first game because it's not related to ice or cold. I mean I always thought of those Kombatants finishing moves are related to something that they are known for. In Sub-Zero's case, ice and cold.

Johnny Cage and Kano's fatalities don't have any specific relation to their characters. If they did, Johnny Cage would probably shadow kick his opponent's stomach out through their back and Kano would have used his knife to cut the heart out instead of his bare hand.

Funny you should say that, on the SNES port of MK1, Johnny Cage's censored fatality was a bloodless kick to the chest.

Truffaut: Do dreams have a bearing on your work?
Hitchcock: Daydreams, probably.

Several Scorpion fatalities involve him setting the opponent on fire, since he is a spectre from hell, and many of the Raiden fatalities involve the use of lightning due to his nickname of "God of thunder".
