At one time, I think I hear:

"i-ma-thuda-gah"

The ending of the does sound like "car" in "Johnnyboughtacaaar!" I always thought that it actually is, "I'm a thunder god." I will not bother with the other one.

I'm pretty sure it's Japanese-sounding gibberish. I heard somewhere that he was supposed to yell something in Japanese, but it didn't sound right, so they just had him spout a bunch of gibberish.

My friends and I always thought he said something like: "Hai-ya-bom-ba-lay," or as another poster suggested...Japanese sounding gibberish.

Isn't that kind of what we got in Street Fighter II, when the blonde guy goes flying across the screen spinning and says: "Testu-maki-saiku-fu*kyou?" (And doesn't some other guy say "Ho-duu-ken?" That might actually mean something, though...)

in street fighter ryu says hadou-ken and it hasn´t got meaning. this is the same thing because is a video game.in the MK4 says something strange too like jax or jony cage

To reply to fabriziobarrera, Hadoken translates as "Wave Motion Fist" if I am correct. You shouldn't state things you don't know to be true to be fact.

In regards to Raiden, I always just called it his "Haba-babee-ya Attack" and I would do the traditional *hands out* dealy so people would understand what I'm talking about. :)

I read that the person who did the voice couldnt pronounce the japanese words they gave him so they just told him to make up a word.

I always wondered about that, these games have strange sounds. And what about the thing that they say when cyrax catches his net around them, how they start slipping, i think they say: "woah woah not the face now".

Y'know, as I'm reading all these posts, I'm having a REALLY good laugh reading them. I'm in public right now and I'm trying to muffle my laughs.

Anyway, I always thought he was just saying something like "PALLY-PA-PAI-AYY!" or "PUT THEM ALL DOOOOOWWWN!!"
