with english subtitles ??

Many of Hiroshi Teshigahara's films are now available on DVD with english subtitles. A recent japanese box set had 5 of 6 films subtitled. Unfortunately "Moetsukita chizu" was the one that wasn't.
I am dying to see this, as i highly enjoyed the book, and am a big Shintaro Katsu fan. Does anyone know if this was at one time available subtitled, or if a press-copy from the BFI's subtitled print was ever circulated?
Thanks,

I just suffered through the worst subtitles of my life, thinking it was all that was available for this film in English. Like some kindly Japanese guy quickly did up a subtitle track knowing the DVD was Japanese-only and wanting to share the film with the world... and god bless him for trying but his English isn't very good and he didn't do a very good job with the formatting/timing.

...Only I just now after watching it all, found a good track on Google. Sigh.

Edit: Decided to watch it again right away with the good subtitles. They definitely help. But even with a competent translation and the ability to tell who's saying what, this is still a pretty obtuse film, leaving far more questions than answers. But seriously atmospheric. A pretty good movie.
