Greatest Fight scene

Like this needs to be said, but it has the greatest fight scene ever, and I'm not alking about the scene when the two masters fight using only water, but the final one, where the statue of liberty is destroyed, that is amazing.

reply

its good but I still prefer the scene with the masters and the water cos it was done so well and looked really great, do you have any idea why shadow(who should have his own film cos he was great)wore a mask all the way through the film? What happened to Hero's daughter?

reply

I was wondering myself what happened to Hero's daughter at the end of the film aswell. I thought maybe there would be a possible sequal for it but I think it was just bad story telling on thier part. This could have been a great movie.

reply

This movie blows.

Shadow wears the mask because he is horribly disfugured underneath. It doesn't show up that well in the film but he also has no arms. Shadow is very different in the film than in the comics, for one his name is different, he's called Ghost Server in the comics.
As for Hero's daughter I'm not sure as I have not read the issues that deal with that but my current thoery is that they've messed up with the Character Mu. She is the combination of two characters from the comic, Rosewood and Moto and I think Moto is Hero's daughter. This is where they messed up as Rosewood died just after Hero's children had been born and Moto takes her place several years later.
If you're interested the English translations of the comics are called The Blood Sword and Blood Sword Dynasty, unfortunatly the last 20 comics or so were never translated, this includes the famous statue of Liberty scene.

Anyway, hope I've helped.

***COMIC BOOK SPOILER***
I have seen some of the Chinese issues (can't read them though), but a friend of mine who knew of the series filled in some of the blanks. If you read the last few issues of Blood Sword Dynasty (the english translation), it turns out his daughter is the character that ends up taking over the evil sect (I forgot her name) and holding the girlfriend of Hero's son Kim Hung (her twin brother). Hero ends up learning the truth about her and eventually has to beat her up. Peace

You Should not mention the word "Great" in any way when you descripe this peace of Sh*t of movie. I've seen over 100 asian movies, and this one sucks the most, if you pardon my french.

if you dont like it dont watch it. but at the level of vocabulary, i can see why you dont like it. you dont understand it. stick to western movies they are mad eto suit lower comprehension levels.

reply

I have to disagree. The fight scenes could have been done better, and I fault this to just bad editing. Fight scenes in the movie "Hero" with jet li, "Dragon Tiger Gate" with Donnie Yen, or even classic Jackie Chan or Tony Jaa movies have better fight scenes! You should check them out, if you thought that this movie was done well.

reply

I thought it was a good scene, but i wouldn't say the best. there are plenty of scenes that are like that one but better, like the fight in the duel 9the last in the stormriders series) that rules.

reply

This has to be one of my favorite movies, I am also a big fan of the comic, I really enjoyed the final fight scene, maybe not the greatest to others, but one of my definite favorites, I especially liked when his sword reformed for the final technique.

reply

It still blows.

Die slowly, okay? We don't want you coming back alive on us.

reply

lol, I think you may be the first person I have seen with a signature from versus, if that is indeed what it is. Awesome movie.

I just finished watching this movie, actually the credits are rolling as I type this, and I really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed The Stormriders and The Duel.

And yes, the fight scene at the Statue of liberty was truly fantastic.

reply

You seriously enjoyed The Duel? I was so completely let down by that. Stormriders and A Man Called Hero were great but I couldn't stomach The Duel. I would sooner drive my head through the tv screen than watch it again.
