Questions.

Some stuff I don't understand, some I'm just curious about.

-In the "Making-of" featurette, Twyker explains that Sissi sees the world as she wants to, optimistic because she feels she has control inside the psych ward. Steini's actor also explains that his character establishes /his/ own law (part of his psychosis) and asserts it upon others. Therefore, Sissi's "relationship" with Steini is merely her accomodating his "weak mental state."

But, seriously. Why the handjob...?

-How did they pull off that "straw" stunt? I didn't want to see, because I'm of the squeemish persuasion, but....god, I couldn't look away.

-Did Walter die? The news cast just mentioned him (for the second time) and then switched to the weather. I must have missed it, because Bodo went postal after that.

-Who was Sissi's father? Wasn't he supposed to be a patient?

-What is Meike's relation to Sissi?

-What did "sad Bodo" do after he was left at the crossroads?

They put some rubber stuff on Franka Potente's throat and, if I remember correctly, they also used some kind of tube which somebody (I think it was Tom Tykwer himself) blew into to make the bubbles and the sound.

The newscast mentioned that he died shortly after he was brought to the hospital.

Werner, the guy that hits Sissi at one point and watches her leaving. Tom Tykwer mentions this on the DVD commentary.

-What is Meike's relation to Sissi?

The way I see it, Meike and Sissi used to work together.

-What did "sad Bodo" do after he was left at the crossroads?
The German version has an additional scene there:
Bodo is picked up by a bus driven by Walter (he's driving on the farm track that crosses the road). Actually, I love that scene a lot. No idea, why they cut it from the US version...

Or, perhaps Meike was a patient...
