Is PITFALL really based on a Kobo Abe story?

I'm a big fan of Abe's novels, and I've never heard of Pitfall. Could it have been based on one of his short stories or plays?

i don't, sorry. it mentioned that its based on a play of his on the video essay on the criterion dvd, but i don't think it said which.
