Someone told me that George Lucas watched this and really liked it, so much so he employed the people who made it.

True, George has seen it & loved it, he has mentioned it in interviews & such.
False, none of the cast or crew work for Lucasfilm.

Hejust sent them a letter about how much he enjoyed it was all he really did.
