A russian movie with similar premise?

I've seen a russian or east-european miniseries with a premise similar to this film about 20 years ago. I've been trying to find its name for years, but I failed. Please let me know if this plot summary rings any bells to you:

Scientists discover a hidden code in the Bible and this helps them to detect an anomaly in deep space. The anomaly is headed for Earth, so world governments in secrecy build a base on the dark side of the Moon. They then use the base to launch a ship with several astronauts towards the anomaly. They are tasked to explore and (if necessary) destroy the anomaly; either way, it is a one-way trip for them. The trip takes several years, during which the anomaly approaches Earth.
Scientists on Earth then discover that the anomaly emits a mysterious radiation which improves DNA and/or accelerates evolution when concentrated on biological material. When the ship with astronauts finally intercepts the anomaly, the astronauts report something like "the anomaly is God" and then they disappear in white light emanating from it. On Earth, the people are musing what is about to happen when "God" actually reaches Earth and the movie ends.
