This film was just one big stereotype.

This film to me was just an amateur, one big stereotype. First of all the fact that they branch all Indians together in general - as far as I know (being Punjabi myself) there are big genetical differences between different regions in India - Punjabi's always most of the time tend to hang around with our own whereas same with South Indians. The fact that the actor 'Deep Katdare' who was Punjabi had a South Indian name 'Reddy' whereas he didn't look South Indian in his facial features at all - then comes the other stereotypes such as the 'typical stupid Sikh guy' - and the fact that every Indian acts really cheesy, watches Bollywood films and acts fresh - it's just the kind of stereotypes which Indians abroad expects from all Indians from India to act like.

The performances were dull either ranging from really badly acted and bland (such as Deep Katdare) or really cheesy overacting (such as the Sikh guy) only Kal Penn's performance was funny at times, and that is only because he is a good actor in general - which is why during the time all these South Asian actors started out he was the only one who has gotten anywhere.
