Sara's Relation to Her Adopted Father?

I vaguely remember an episode where Sara's adopted father met Wildfire. Wildfire did something to him, perhaps unlock some hidden memories? The horse acknowledged the man as a lord, giving me the impression that the dad too must be from Sara's homeworld. It was he, the dad, who used Sara's locket, I believe, to defeat the specters in this episode.

I wasn't even twelve when this show was on but I can also remember that interaction between the dad and Sara near the end of this episode led her to realize that he really must be related to her. Even if he isn't her real father, he must definitely be kin.

Does anyone remember this episode and know the dad's relation to Sara?

From what I have read, her adoptive father is also her real father. Neither of them knows it because he is under some sort of spell that keeps him from remembering who he really is. I wish I could remember the episode. But its been so long since I've seen the show that I don't really remember much more than a girl and a purple and red horse.

Her adopted dad was her real dad. He was banished by Sara's evil aunt to the mortal world and thus Sara was eventually sent there as well to protect her.

Not quite...
Diabolyn cursed both of Sarah's parents on their wedding day. In order to protect the young King he was taken to the mortal world and his memory blurred. Sarah followed later.
