Now its one long nauseating, self righteous PSA. The second to last episode about Mandy literally made me puke a little.

Very true indeed. I stopped watching around 2016. Everything is just a mess. I have no idea of what I've missed from the show, and I don't care to.

I started watching the first thru third seasons on Hulu. I had forgotten how good this show was prior to becoming talking heads giving speeches.

Perhaps. I don't mind, but I only watch re-runs on cable. There was an episode I saw recently about campus rape culture and fraternities. I can see how someone might see it as a big PSA, but I liked the way the story developed and I thought the ensemble played their roles well. For a while I thought this incarnation was weaker than the Stabler episodes, but I don't think so currently. Do miss Richard Belzer a little though.
