shareI agree. And to take it even further why is she almost always present when Barba is meeting with the defendant and his/her attorney? In reality, the trial would be taking place several months after the original arrest, Benson and her team should be busy with other cases. The arresting officers would not be involved in negotiations, plea deals etc. I know the show has become less realistic over time but...
