I can't think of one....i thought you were going to ask if they had ever done a woman on woman rape I can't remember that either...dont think they have? Anyone?

reply

They've done one where a woman has raped a man. Season 16 Ep 17- Parole Violations. I think it's really well done.

She made a plea bargain. She lost her job, got 5 years probation and had to go on the sex offenders registry. She didn't exactly get away with it but did off with no jail time.

reply

Definitely read the post below. I wouldn't assume. She makes a plea, and they show her going off on Benson and Barba at the end of the show over it all.

reply

In the episode where the woman was a parole officer , she didn't get away with it exactly. She chose to lose her job and be on the sex offender list after her lawyer asked for a deal.

And so Governor Devlin, because even the cost of freedom can be too high, I REFUSE your pardon!

reply

Burned, but she didn't go to jail at the end either, she died.

I also remember a lot of the times the women would do serious attacks on men and not go to jail because they were raped by their attackers in a previous situation, which I felt was a double standard. Such as "Branded" and I can't remember that episode where that woman threw acid at a man in open court and horribly disfigured him and they gave her a free pass as if didn't really matter. Considering that happened in open court in front of the judge I doubt they would've just let it slide like that if this happened in real life.

reply

The acid on the perp was in "Quickie."

reply

There is a huge double standard with Benson, she has become more and more of a man hating bitch, and apparently she makes up the rules and can give orders to DA's and everyone else about who to prosecute. Benson has no right to get violent women out of jail because they were raped, and I was very happy to see Barba stand up to her and continue with his prosecution in the season premiere even though Benson would have all charges dropped if it were up to her.

It all comes back to Mariska having way too much power over the show and Mariska's extreme bias due to her real life dealings with rape victims, which has affected Benson. Mariska is now just playing herself and she cannot play Benson as unbiased.

reply

There was a real bad case of this in the earlier shows. This women was abused her husband and the police would just let it slide. The last time it happened she attacked him in front of all the police and everyone. Then later after she got in trouble said she was raped and the charges went away.

If you are thinking of Asunder it was the woman abusing the man, she threw pots at him , he was a hothead but she did her share of physical abuse against him the cops wanted to haul her in but her husband told then not to.

reply

I don't think they gave a free pass to the gal who threw acid on the guy who gave her AIDS. I'm pretty sure they convicted her of assault but the guy's grandpa convinced him to pay for her treatment (it was his dying wish for the kid to own up to his crimes).

reply

Yeah, she got what she deserved & then some. That was a horrible episode. I felt sorry for Blair Underwood's character but thought the chick definitely got what was coming to her.

reply

Taken from season 2 was very close to this situation.

And in Solitary the woman did go to jail, unlike what the other person said.

reply

There was the dissonant voices , those girls lied and distroyed a guys career and barba wouldn't prosecute

reply

Yeah, the head shaking "we did our jobs, we did the best we could" circle-jerk at the end of Dissonant Voices was just pathetic.

And one of the few times Rollins had the balls to call BS on the squad.

reply

No, because the show caters to Liberals.

reply

^this is definitely true

reply

Yeah, Taken like another poster said. A girl lied about being raped, and the man she accused was killed in prison. She was arrested and sent to prison for manslaughter.

reply

I remember one time they found out a girl lied about being raped, then said point blank she wasn't going to go to jail because they would stop other people from coming forward.

reply

That is so wrong! UGH!!

reply

Can somebody please explain that logic to me? If a person lies about being raped, the police is sure that person lied why there are no charges pressed? I mean, real victims often struggle with doubts, people often don't believe them and then some person falsely accuse somebody without facing any consequences. It could help discourage other people from making false claims if liars would be charged with perjury or something, right? And it could help raising credibility of real victims.
I know I oversimplified it but I don't understand how not charging liars would stop other people from reporting real rape.
Also is it normal procedure in US legal system or it happens only on this show?

Yes, it is normal procedure here in the US for women to get away with lying to the police.
Women are seldom held accountable for anything here. Even when there is proof against them for some headline-making crime they still manage to convince the world that they are 'real victim' - there's always a claim that some big bad man forced or led them into wrongdoing, or the person they hurt or abused somehow deserved it. It's sickening, but women are not held to the same standard of behavior as men. It often happens that women who abuse their kids or murder their newborn infants gain sympathy by claiming they're the 'real victims' due to the men in their lives not giving them enough attention or providing them with enough money, or denying them whatever it is they think they are missing out on.
