Why does this show always make things about race?
I am so tired of this kneejerk racism stuff in these shows. In this most recent episode, Detectives Tutuola and Perry tell some parents that their son has died because he was killed while raping a woman. When the parents find out the killer was white, it instantly becomes a race issue. "Oh I see... white kid shoots black kid, gotta be the black kid's fault, that's what you sayin?"
Stop doing this stuff, SVU. Why do you have to focus on race? A kid thought his mom was being raped, it's not about race. Your show is about sex crimes, don't shoehorn all this racial *beep* If a person was raped, that means that a crime was committed, and race has nothing to do with anything. A black person raping someone is the exact same as a white person raping someone... there is no need to make a race issue out of it.
And a quote straight from the show:
Benson: "She said she didn't mind her son being friends with Trey, but she had a bad feeling about him from the beginning, whatever that means."
Barba: "Because he's black?"
Why the hell would Barba ask that question? Why would he immediately assume the kid's race had anything to do with why the woman had a bad feeling about him?
This is supposed to be a show about sex crimes and the detectives and prosecutors that bring the guilty to justice... stop making this *beep* about race when it doesn't need to be.
I have no enemies, but am intensely disliked by my friends.share
