Brad has some good movies, but Mark can play sensitive very well. I think what you are really saying is that Brad should try to play a character like this one. If he did, he might get more respect from some of the ppl on this board.

Also, i have noticed that once any actor becomes huge, there are high numbers of ppl who will hate them for just being them. Certain friends hate certain actors. I have heard this for each of the following actors: Harrison Ford, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, (now) Brad Pitt, Russel Crowe et al. A tour through the message board at imdb would turn up far more.

The truth is that all of these actors have made excellent films.

Another truth, people will say the same thing about Ruffalo if he becomes a bigger success than he already is.

I think that taking an entire bottle of some aspirin would be a good thing right now. EVERY BOARD! God. Every role that Brad Pitt is no it... the actor clearly did a terrible job. Why don't you just comment on how great an actor he is here --> http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000093/board/threads/ Seriously... I love that people post their opinions. But not yours... you just think that Brad Pitt is the best actor ever... does he deserve to have EVERY single role? Even Dorthy from The Wizard of Oz?

Brad Pitt is not even an "actor" anymore. He has just become this, "entity" this, "celebrity". He is a joke. It's not about ACTING with him at all.
I mean I think Mark Ruffalo is one of the best actors out there right now, but I don't think he is right for EVERY role (although he seems to be able to do pretty much anything).

I really can't take the topic serious, but I do think that Brad Pitt is more than just a celebrity. He has some fine acting behind him in films like; 12 monkeys, Fight Club, seven etc. Othervise, I totally agree with 4mark above me here..

Very funny

I like Brad. I dont know why, especially in the Mexican (no logical reason).

Mark seems to be the choice for talkative sort-of Indie movies. This could have easily been transformed into that tear-jerker/feel-good movie... that the title lets you believe it is :D

I can't even imagine why you would think that. Mark Ruffalo is going to be one of the most respected actors ever. Brad Pitt, well, isn't very good. He doesn't have the emotional depth and subtlety that would be required for this role.

Brad Pitt cannot compare to Mark Ruffalo. I can't even imagine this movie without Mark. Brad Pitt cannot do ANY role that Mark has done.

Mark is awesome. I agree Pitt would not have been fit for this role.

But still, let's not push it too far. Pitt is a good actor. He was very good in FightClub, Se7en and 12 monkeys. He definitely has too much media attention, but he could still act if given (or if he chose) demanding roles.

I can't really add much to what has already been said. Obviously you are a BIG Pitt fan (living in a pitt, so to speak). Although he bears the weight of celebrity, he is a much better actor than he is given credit for (Se7en, Seven Years in Tibet), but Mark Ruffalo is a real actor and a clear cut above. He could act circles around Pitt with both arms tied behind his back. This film is an excellent example of his skills.
