'Lego' aesthetic?

I have come across vague references to what might be called the "Lego" aesthetic of this film. Does anyone know anymore details about this or where one might read more on it?
Thanks.

I know this is four years too late, but I would never associate this film with what I perceive to be "the Lego aesthetic."

I associate the Lego brand with modularity, repetition, order, minimalism, modernism, clean sharp edges and bold saturated colors... This film is full of humanity, individuality, unpredictability, and visually it's a pretty mixed pot.

I *love* the Lego aesthetic (used appropriately), but to me this is on an opposite end of the spectrum.

Then again, I could be completely off base!
