"A little less enjoyable"?

That may be your opinion but a lot of the time it's the shippers who make up the majority of the fan base for shows like this. And for us, seeing the subtext and supporting those characters is half the fun.

So that's a little judgmental saying that we make it less enjoyable for you. Especially when, majority of the time, our ships aren't canon and we have to put up with ones that are.

There's tension between them, but I think it's onesided. I think Sam had the hots for Brooke, but didn't realize it and so her feelings turned to hate. I don't think Brooke liked Sam romantically.

I don't see it either, and I don't think it was ever supposed to be like that.

I sort of see both sides on this. I don't think subtext was created between them intentionaly by the writers. It's pretty clear that the conflict between them comes from the fact that they are very similar in some ways. Plus, their relationship in season two is obviously sisterly. But, on the other hand, if i'm completely truthful, if it had been male/female characters who acted towards eachother like Brooke and Sam did for most of the first series, I would definitly have thought they secretly liked eachother. I think alot of the audience would have too. So, yeah I get why people think that. Could have been an interesting alternate storyline to do at the time it was airing, instead of the whole step sister thing.

Except Ryan Murphy has talked about it numerous times.

This show is a satire, Ryan never wanted to take it seriously and neither did most of the actors. It was a FUN show, before the network interfered, and more than that it was a "gay" show. The UST was deliberate but it was never going to be anything more. Just like there was deliberate UST between Mary Cherry and Lilly that never was resolved.

there was UST between Mary Cherry and Lily? I was just too distracted everytime Mary Cherry said "Lil' Lily" and Lily would scream at her. LOL

Do you have any links?

Ugh. I hate this. Every time two characters clash, people just start saying they have sexual tension. How about they are really good actors and they create real tension?

"How about they are really good actors and they create real tension?"

That they are, but let's face it, some of those glances...most of them, even. The behaviour screamed a 'ship.

"Oh and McPherson, don't use my moisturiser..."

Yeah I see it.

The chemistry is definitely there.
