Why would this show even be on his radar? It's been off the air for 3 years.

It's kind of weird to me that a person would hate a simple TV show just because their favorite musician hates it. I've always been a fan of different musicians and just because they hate the president or yams or brushing their teeth doesn't mean it's expected of me to hate it all too. I'm guessing you are a teen because I remember being about 15 and whatever my idols liked and disliked, I was hip to it since I believed their opinion was the right opinion. Now I know better. It's all a matter of opinion my friend. Some people like the vulgar humor and some don't. Some like Elvis Costello, most people don't. That's simply how it is. Just because a few celebs turns their nose up at other celebs and their work doesn't mean they're any more or less intelligent or talented. I'm sure you will be skipping out to get season one of the Waltons or Little House on a Prairie since this is probably what the wholesome and pure Elvis Costello would like.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste, Art. You've heard that expression before? I'm sure you have. But since Elvis Costello isn't on this board to do your thinking for you, I'll underline my point as clearly as possible:

Shut up and try using your own damn brain for a change, instead of letting others choose for you what you like and don't like. "I don't like ___, because ___ doesn't like ___" is a treason against free thought.

Example: I like David Bowie as much as anyone. But if he ever said "I hate green tea because it's green," I wouldn't stop liking green tea because Bowie doesn't like the colour green. I'd tell Bowie that he could screw himself and then we could move on with our lives (like I'm about to do to you).

I love green tea, and I'm indifferent toward the Man Show, and you can personally go screw yourself for being an automaton.
