Really entertaining film

Came across this film by accident and glad I did.

The dialogue is unbelievably strange and had me chuckling out loud in places.
I LOVE Morell's accent! Irish mixed with a northern accent I couldn't quite place.

Lastly, I can't believe that NO-ONE on this board seems to realise that Romeo's mum is mixed race!
No, she's not black.
No, she's not white.
She's a mixture of both.

Yes, the casting for the family is very weird (as casting very often is), but the actors manage to do a good job despite it.

Yeah, I enjoyed it too.. Thought Paddy Consadine did a brilliant job at playing such an odd character - his accent reminded me of Sean Connery. I didn't really get the family dynamics - I didn't get how Romeo could be dark skinned, his dad be white, his sister be white and his mum be mixed race.. I assumed his dad must not be his biological dad but the man who brought him up

Not really. Mixed race parentage by its nature creates variations in skin and eye colour amongst siblings. I felt both actors playing son and daughter were from the mother in the film.
In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer
