Jed is dating both Miranda and Kate at the same time, and ends up choosing Kate. Later, Kate finds out Jed was dating Miranda at the same time and breaks up with him. Phil trys to get with Kate after learning she is single. To try and impress her, he gets his driver's license and drives to her house in a Mustang. Cary and Stella still try and keep their relationship secret. Jed tailgates Phil and Kate after seeing the two of them together, ends up losing control of the car and hits a girl in a wheelchair.
