Hideaki Anno Homage

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ybj9qpCJhUU

This is the individual film project that I did for Penn Summer Art Studio's Film Camp. This my first attempt at a dramatic movie of sorts. I was trying experiment with the sort of style I see in a lot of the works of Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion, His and Her Circumstances).

Anyways, the main problem I had while I was making this was that I had no access to actors. That and I only had a week to write, shoot, and edit. SO, I wrote up a story where I am the only necessary actor. Nice chance to practice cloning.

Please watch, and tell me what you think!!! X).

I appreciated it. What type of camera and editing software did you use?

It looked crisp and had diverse cinematography; are you working on anything else?

I definitely saw the Hideaki style......after watching Kare Kano I noticed how he adds a lot of random photo shots {I don't know the term} of like buildings, pipe drains, running water and so forth. I noticed it in Evengalion, but in this I noticed it as his style. I liked how you incorporated some of that with flashing to pitchers and suicide attempts.

Thanks guys! And in regards to what the other poster said, I shot with a regular consumer level camera and edited with Final Cut Pro.
