Yes. To the core.

That's one of the worst designs I've ever seen for that drilling rig. (trying to keep it real here)

From what I saw of this movie, and reading many of the comments on this page, I don't guess a better designed bore machine would have helped it any. People would have said things like, "Great looking drilling rig, but movie still stinks!"
