Violation of the 1st Amendment, or the bastardization of it.

The people in this movie all make me sick. I am so disappointed in the actors who became part of it. I do not think any of them thought about the impact this would have and the fear frenzie that feeds it. Even though the producer is a more gentler person and I do respect his right to believe what he wants, I do not have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is that others will use this as a tactic to destroy things they do not understand or they think go against anything other than their rigid belief system.

I served this nation for thier right to believe what they wanted and I would do it today, but they do not have the right to scare people.

They all make me sick and I hope they are faced with the consequences of the choice they made to spread fear among people.

Please, Are you for real! personnally I think you are an idiot, the Koran scares and kills thousands every year, communists scare and enslave billions, and you get that hostile over a movie that in the title tells you its religeous then you go ahead and see it then get mad at the crew for making it you really are laughable! keep making your opinion known it shows everyone how backwords you really are! served this country as what a secretary get real. I can tell by the type of opinion you have you never faced death in all your short life!

these religious nts think they are above the law and everyone else, working on their "god given rights" rather than what the law allows them.

In their world you don't have the right to believe what you want, you either believe what they do, or burn in hell.

So much love, and this is sadly the new world order.

"If heaven is full of people like you, I'd rather burn in hell."

reply

New world order? the choice of believing in God has been around for about 6,000 years, there's nothing new to it, and back then it was about all that people had was faith.

"(T)hese religious n(u)ts think they are above the law and everyone else, working on their "god given rights" rather than what the law allows them."

There is your first problemn. You don't understand the Constitution or the founding of our nation. The founder, themselves, said that all rights are given by God. As far as they were concerned, the law "allows" nothing except for us to live in peace, in a civil society.

The law derives its power from the people. The people do not derive their rights from the law.

Thank you for a job well done, President Bush. You restored honor to the Oval Office.

I believe that the term to the Declaration of Independence states "endowed by their creator." Creator meaning any entity a citizen believes in, not specifically "God." There is a separation of church and state and you are correct:

"The law derives its power from the people. The people do not derive their rights from the law."

As a Civil Rights law professor, no one says you do not have the right to believe in what you want, but no one has the right to force a belief on you. If people knew what their rights really were, I think there would be a change in this country.

reply

I know this is just a movie board and I don't want to get all serious but I am not above to law and I do follow any and all laws that don't contradict God laws which are perfect laws.

You said
"In their world you don't have the right to believe what you want, you either believe what they do, or burn in hell."

That is the truth but you make it sound like God doesn't give everyone a chance to believe Him . God doesn't want anyone to go to Hell. I assure you of that. But we all must make the decision to follow Him or reject Him. Just take a look around at the state of the world today. It's coming to an end quickly and you can't dispute that anymore that I or anyone else can.

It is obvious that since you have only responded to this and the "Left Behind" post that maybe YOU are the backwards one. I out educate you by a lot of years, I have a doctorate of Jurisprudence and am a law professor at St. Mary's Law School.

As far as my time in service, you probably couldn't even pass the test to get in and can not qualify. Do not make light of my job when I was in the service, I was an interrogator in the MI field, I was in the Gulf and have two purple hearts from injuries. I collect 100% VA service connected compensation and have probably faced death more times than you could ever think.

I might have been a bit too harsh, but at least I am not an inbred idiot as you seem to be. Tell me, who is the backwards one? The person who only writes about the "Rapture" or the one who is concerned with ALL citizens rights. From what you said, it is even more apparent how "backwards" you are because I seriously doubt that you know any other type of people other than Christians. I have known a variety of people, including Muslims and surprisingly they take a different view of the Koran. As you said, "the Koran scares and kills thousands every year" but do you consider that the Bible has too, or did that slip you tiny little mind. I can imagine what you wrote in your "Left Behind" remarks.

You know, think what you want. Using the Koran and Communism as a way to prove that you are worldly is also evident that you are a very small minded redneck, the mean kind, not the nice kind. I bet you still think that blacks should have separate facilities. Go post you brain drippings somewhere else. My Army training came out of your tax dollars, that is, presuming you actually work and are not a forth generation welfare recipient.

Oh, another thing, I have met Margot Kidder and Gary Busey and apologized for the comments I made about them. They were very gracious people and understanding. My daughter was terrorized with movies like this because my loser ex husband and Hagee's "Rapture People." I have the feeling that you are one of them too.

It is a pity that we, the soldiers and veterans, cannot pick and choose whose rights we fight for.

Curse me out and call me names, at least I am not married to my twin sister as you so obviously are.

Ta-ta Charlie Boy, remember, if you are going to say something, at least stick to the subject and do not try to prove you have a viable IQ, your not good at it.

wonder what you thought of the "Left Behind" series?

reply

Didn't see it. This movie was forced on me, then used as evidence against my ex husband. So, I guess it served a purpose.

The OP said a mouthful. This movie is vile, hackneyed, fear-mongering tripe.

The sad part is, it has nothing to do with God, and yet it purports to pull from scripture.

"First you ask if you can be red, knowing that I'm always red."

reply

Well, upon reflection, I was probably a little harsh. At least the guy who did this is one of the more softer spoken. Did you know that according to charlievan, I am backwards and uneducated and, oh, since I was a female in the Army, I was only a secretary, NOT. I was in the Gulf and I was an interrogator. I also out educate this person by 10 years. He talks about the Koran terrorizing and killing people, but does not mention that the Bible has done a lot of damage and has caused killings and fanatical people like John Hagee to turn hate speech into free speech and there is a difference.

I have seen worse films and heard vile ministers, but I think it is hilarious that some redneck has the audacity to make opinions. My daughter was terrorized by this kind of crap by my ex husband and it took years to get over it.
