Do you know the death date for these specials?

I had always assumed "ABC Afterschool Specials (1972)" were the first casualty of the first U.S. war with Iraq. Now I could be wrong. It may have been that the closest ABC station to me, NewsChannel 5 of Cleveland, was tired of postponing "Oprah Winfrey" on a monthly basis. If anything, ABC should have told us the date of death for these specials in May 2003, during ABC's 50th anniversary.
