CREEPY! Ichi is WAYYYY too fond of his mother

I'm at the scene with him and the woman in the bath. Holy crap this is some creepy stuff. He's got a naked woman in front of him and he's envisioning that she looks like his mother, and that he'd like to marry his mother if she were still alive. The Japanese are some weird folks.

On an unrelated note, what exactly was going on in that gambling scene? I gather that they were all trying to screw him cuz he's blind and it backfired? What exatly happened there?

And who is this woman in the bath, from what I can tell she is some wealthy noblewoman/aristocrat or whatever the term would be in this culture.
