Wouldn't it be great if they remade this game for the brand new Nintendo DS?

yus it would, but I'm not really a fan of the DS since all they do is take old n64 games and make little changes to them, then port them into the DS :P

Yeah, they only did that ONCE, and that was SM64DS, which was REALLY improved from th N64 game.

SSM DS would be pretty sweet.
You could use the touch screen to choose your mode, character, and pause menu options, and you would use the buttons for combat purposes. That would be awesome. While in the menus, using the touch screen to navigate, the classic "Super Smash Bros" logo could be at the top screen, and during fights, when you are using the buttons, the touch screen could show your progress.
And when choosing characters, the entire touch screen could be occupied with the character choosing squares, and the characater would appear on the top screen when chosen.
That would be awesome.

If the N64 version of Super Smash Brothers was made into a port on the DS it would easily be the best game on the DS I hope they port it to the DS one day that would be awesome
