a difference in covers, a difference in content?

I see this for sale currently at quite a low price, with the cover being a shot from behind of an older monk and a boy monk-in-training. The cover I see at a much higher sale price is a front shot of an array of joyful faces.

anyone know if there is a difference in the movie itself? editorial, copyright, language, whatever?
