Ooooooohh boy. Its worse than the cook who's a top navy seal, ala Under Siege.
But at least Antonio Banderas character was more realistic than the cook, and Banderas is a much better actor than Seagal.

I think what he was saying is that it is a poor plot point for this kind of movie. It forshadows that he will be using his combat skills later on. And I agree with him on that point.
However I think the movie itself was pretty good. I have said in other threads that I think it was poorly directed, but I think the story and the acting were good, although a little understated.
And I also agree that Under Siege was pretty bad. Aweful, actually. Except I did like the line when the bad guys locked him in the pantry, and he lets of a string of threats and then tells them to get his pies out of the oven.

I agree. I laughed out loud when I heard that line. Good basic idea but not that well (even though I havn't finished it)
