Love Buble...so should I?

I am head-over-heels-in-love with Michael Buble and I have the soundtrack for this movie, even though I haven't seen it.

If I see it, will I just be so aggravated at how bad it is that it will ruin it for me? Or are you able to separate Michael from the apparant travesty of this film?

I don't want to be dissapointed at him (i.e. the apparant separate filming of him and the female singers), so is it worth it?

DON'T WATCH IT!! IT RUINED IT FOR ME!!! I can't look at him the same way...especially after that scene...you know the scene to all those who have seen the film...

The leading lady is having a sex fantasie of this idiot name Brad. But Brad keeps turning into Michael Buble's character...and it is actually really disturbing.

Its funny til someone gets hurt....then its hilarious!

reply

It is disturbing too because of the fact that she would actually choose Brad over Van... WHAT?!?!?

OH GOD I KNOW!! I was so traumatized by that scene. Seriously, now i cant hear a michael buble song without feeling like I need to take a shower.

To that person who asked...NO do NOT see this movie!! You will never see Michael Buble the same again!!!!!

It's so sad...he's such a GREAT singer...but such a TERRIBLE actor.

He actually wasn't that bad. He did the best that he could with a ship (aka. the film) that was inevitably going to sink. He's not the BEST actor, but he can certainly act. The scene with the voices on the phone was pretty funny.

I just watched it - the movie was beyond horrible, and at times non-sensical. But it was fun watching him declare his love for the women in the movie, and hearing him sing. So I would say it is a wash :)

blinkgrl861 I am like you I think he is amazing too, I saw it last night and loved it. The movie is maybe B grade but still really funny. What do you have to lose right, a few bucks on a movie that stays in a dark corner of your house or you could love and watch it millions of times. I would go for it.

this movie made me love michael. it was awful, yes, but he is just so lovely when he sings. hehe. it shouldn't ruin it for you, though i was disappointed that he acted in such a horrible movie.

I would not watch it. I have never heard of MB, but this movies is bad, I kept think why would Van want that woman, she is horrible. I personally would have stuck with the friend.

michael buble (MB) is an amazing singer and he does sound like a modern day sinatra. so you should go listen to him. his #1 hit is home, its but good but i suggest moondance.

i bought this movie and watched it.. and the scene you're talking about.. wasn't in it. they cut away and went to the next scene.

I have never seen this movie, but I own the soundtrack. Just by hearing the soundtrack I can tell the movie would suck. And I am huge Michael Buble fan, but the CD is no good! Probably because the songs are originals and Michael sounds great covering old standards.

reply

well songs are quite bad (except maybe for peroxide swing)... but saying this is because they're original.. sounds wrong to me: couldnt it be it's because the writer (who,m if I'm not wrong is also writer and director of the movie) did an bad job? And personally...MB's voice, and therefore the songs are the only tolerable thing in this movie.
