Journey To The Center of the Earth (1999)

I found this entertaining but trying to remember the 1977 movie of the same name that I saw as a kid. I remember Doug McClure in that movie. Also in the 1977 movie they used a tunnel drilling machine to travel to the center of the earth. In the 1999 movie, the Sauroids reminded me of the Sleestaks from the 1970s Land of the Lost Tv Show that I recall watching too. The casting was very good in this 1999 movie because I actuaaly cared for most of the major characters. Jeremy London looks somewhat like Brendan Fraser. In the 1999 the core characters climbed and walked their way down to the inner world. All in all a decent movie and the actress who plays Alice is a young talented actress. Bryan Brown and Treat Williams both acted very well with their natural aplomb and style. I would give this one a three star movie out of four.

Best of all I found to be the beautiful Ralna, played by Petra Yared.
I just fell in love with her!

Doug McClure - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0565982/
didn't play in Journey To The Center Of The Earth - http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=journey+center
buy he played in the 1975 movie The Land That Time Forgot, based on Edgar Rice 'Tarzan' Burroughs' book, and also on its sequel, The People That Time Forgot (1977).

Doug also starred in the Burroughs film At The Earth's Core (1976, with Peter Cushing). It's probably that film that you mean, because it has a drilling machine in it.

I have this movie, and I was watching it with my niece the other day. (she is 12) In the middle of it, she turned to me and said, "That guy (Jeremy) is really cute! Can I have this movie when you die?" I just laughed!
But, that's my girl!!! I told her that I will get her a copy of it on my next payday. I already gave her Leap of Faith and she loved it! Never too young to learn to appreciate Jeremy's work. I feel proud to have passed that appreciation on to the next generation. :-)
