Why not just turn it over The first scary thing to happen why not of sent the kids out of the room or watched something else because... the makers WANTED you to watch it by fooling them into thinking it's real so, really they shouldnt of moaned cause THEY were the ones in control of the TV set they should of jsut stopped watching now cause of their actions it's been banned of telly :(
Actually, the makers didn't set out to fool anyone. The show was broadcast under the 'Screen on One' banner (a slot reserved for TV dramas), it was billed as a TV drama by both the continuity announcer who introduced it and the Radio Times, and if you rang the phone number that appeared on the screen you were given a message telling you the show isn't real. The show's makers and the BBC did pretty much everything (short of putting a notice up in the corner of the screen saying "This is not real!!!") to make it clear to viewers that the show was a drama.
The problems started when people flipped over during a commercial break on ITV and missed all the notifications. But still, I agree with you, it's a shame the show is still banned by the BBC just because of the over-reaction, it's possibly one of the best dramas of the past twenty years...
My view has always been that if you genuinely believed that a poltergeist had posessed the body of Michael Parkinson then you were so stupid that your opinion was utterly worthless.
I think some people just go through life looking for things to get outraged and on thier high horse about. They just don't have anything better to do.
Even though GhostWatch is excellent and genuinley scary, I could see it was fake when it was first shown.,(I think I was about 12) so did every other kid in my school.
