Watched it for the first time tonight.

Loved it. Lots of fun, and pretty spooky.

Twelve milkmen IS theoretically possible. Thirteen is silly.

That's not even a joke. I've actually become quite obsessed with it.

I've watched it twice this week. I plan on showing it to all of my friends. I've looked up countless articles about it on the internet. I can't stop myself.

Imagine what it was like when 'Blair Witch' came out! I was attempting to convince my friends and family, all obsessed with the hype around 'Blair Witch' that the BBC had done it on TV, better and scarier, seven years before! It was Hell being a 'Ghostwatch' fan back then - being told to "Shut the *beep* up, twat!" by your own father! ;)

I've never seen it. Is it real or fake like blair witch and paranormal activity but supposed to seem realistic?

reply

It's a drama done in the style of a reality show of the time, so the idea of real versus fake doesn't apply (just like with Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity, which are also just pretend).

Thanks mate. Any chance anyone also know where i can get a hold on this? I saw it on ebay but its like $70, is that what ill be up for most places i look?

This disc is out of print and therefore stupidly expensive. You might be able to rent it, though, depending on where you live. The other problem (since you're talking dollars) might be that the DVD is Region 2, and that won't work in a standard North American DVD player. If you have a region-free player or you have configured your computer to do the same, then ignore that part.

I didn't realise this DVD had gone out of print; thank goodness I got mine whilst they were till making them, and think I paid less than a tenner for it! Play.com has it in stock for £28.99, which is certainly better than $70; that's the best price I've been able to find for you, unfortunately.

Your family's a little crazy, but Paranormal Activity & Blair Witch were both scarier, more effective, and better made than Ghostwatch.

And the day keeps on remindin' me there's a Hellhound on my trail. . .

Although both Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity are good films, how can you say they were better made? This film FAR predates them. The terms you use, "scary", "effective", etc are so damn relative. I'm an American born in '73 who missed this show when it first aired. I watched it about 6 months ago for the first time and loved it. In fact, it made me jealous that I didn't experience it when it aired. I heard about this film from a random discussion board, so I downloaded it and found it to be fantastic. It was creepy, smart, and not based on a pubescent need for immediate action. If you lack an intellect, or need immediate violence to make a film for you, then avoid this flick. If you like a story and don't mind a creep-out, this is for you.
