As good as 'Paranormal Activity'!

I saw it just now! Believe me, its as good and effective as 'Paranormal Activity'. Basically if you liked PA, you will love this!
I knew absolutely nothing about it before; I sought it out after reading an internet article comparing it to PA. I am now so glad I have seen this! Strongly recommended!!

I am glad that lots of people are discovering this great programme for the first time. The guys on the PA boards did a good job of recommending Ghostwatch.

I loved PA. 10/10

I really liked Ghostwatch. 8/10

Really, what hurt Ghostwatch for me is the stuff that takes place towards the end on the set. Took away the realism for me.

OP here! For the people who liked 'Paranormal Activity' & 'Ghostwatch', I also recommend 'Lake Mungo'. Though its not very scary, its a good watch nonetheless. While 'Paranormal Activity' was fake self-recorded footage & 'Ghostwatch' was fake TV program, here 'Lake Mungo' is a fake documentary. But its shot very realistically and can actually fool people who don't know any better. Have fun!!

I'd say it beats 'Paranormal Activity' easily - not only because it was completely unprecedented (except for Orson Welles' 'War Of The Worlds' I suppose), but also in every other way. 'The Blair Witch Project' did a great job at taking the seed of an idea and transferring it to a big-screen thing (with the "found footage" angle as opposed to a live broadcast), but by the time 'Paranormal Activity' came along, that was sort of old news.

I've always said PA was essentially a Hollywood producer saying "Well the Blair Witch Project made tonnes of money off a tiny budget, I'll do the same thing from my California mansion", and I think that's why it suffers. It's not original, it's not interesting and (most importantly) it's not scary. It feels like while 'Ghostwatch' and 'The Blair Witch Project' took years of thought and consideration, PA was done more cynically on a whim to earn some cash.

These bastards!

Yes, 'War of the Worlds' broadcasted by Welles was the first thing that came in my mind when I read the description of Ghostwatch. I wonder what would have happened if they wouldn't have informed the audience before airing the program that it was not real.
