I think I've spotted all of Pipes' 'cameo' appearances; anyone got any more?

1. In video footage of girl's bedroom; figure seen against curtains on 2nd playing of the tape (after callers draw attention to it), but isnt there in the original playing, or the 3rd (in slow motion)!

2. shadowy figure over parapsychologist's shoulder as audio tape of ghost's voice is played in studio.

2. Pipes visible standing between two women in crown as Craig Charles approaches Arthur Lacey outside (you see him twice, but its fleeting on both occasions).

3. visible in reflection in french window as Sarah Greene picks up daughter's picturse from floor.

4. seen clearly against bedroom curtains; camera pans back quickly, and he's gone!

5. I'm not sure about this one; when they un-board the cellar door and open it for the 1st time, you can see, for a couple of frames, the edge of 'someone.' This COULD be Pipes; it could also be a cast member whose job is to pull the door shut! Hard to tell... any thoughts?

6. standing on gantry below spotlight that explodes in studio.

That's all i can remember right now. Has anyone spotted any others?

On a more general note, this programme scared the crap outta me when i was 11.... and i still found it frightening, although to a lesser extent, when i watched it recently. Worth seeing, although the acting of the mother and the older daughter in particular is pretty transparent.

One more you missed, which I found courtesy of www.ghostwatch.info. Just after the door to the cupboard under the stairs slams shut, pause the video or DVD and there are a couple of full facial close-ups of Pipes for about a frame or two.

I only saw pipes on the two occasions and that was scary enough!

I hate to say this, but I just saw Pipes, and he's in your room, just by the window. Watching you.

Argh! I see him too!

The most vivid time I remember seeing him was when Craig Charles was with those 2 women in the park talking about dogs fetus and he was stood in the crowd. Like a guy with the managled red face.

I take it you haven't seen this.
SPOILERS

Pipes is the apperition/ghost/spectre thing that apparently haunted a house in England. In 'Ghostwatch' Pipes appears at various times but is very hard to spot, like in a crowd etc.

He gets his name from the banging noise he made, the little girl gave him the name because her mother always said that the banging was the water pipes.

I dont know if this is one of the listed ones but -

Just as Craig charles starts to walk to speak to the two women (who talk about the dog) there is a crowd of people outside the house. You see pipes's head (bloodied up). Its a fleeting glimpse there is a small light above his head and he is standing next to a man in a white coat. This man turns to look at pipes for a second and if you frame-step on the dvd then you will see he has a shocked expresion

Eeeek I so want this on DVD now I have never seen Ghostwatch (too young) But i so want to pipes looks scary as *beep*

very late response but u can see Pipes in the reflection fo the sliding door when the reporter woman is scared by the cat..

Just watched it for the first time, half awful, half genius, the actors were rubbish but the 'real' presenters (especially Sarah Green) really made it work somehow. If only someone would 'haunt' the Big Brother house. If done correctly the hysteria would be most entertaining.

There's another Pipes-spotting. Just before Sarah gets sucked under the stairs the video gets distorted and before it goes back to the studio in chaos, you see a very cut quick cut of Pipes smiling:hence "It's in the machine!"

That website is great!! My computer was too dark to see any of the sightings, so I brightened the pictures and they're very creepy!

and as for that idea about setting someone up to "haunt" the BB house, what a brilliant idea, I'd actually tune in if that were on the cards.

You might want to check out Charlie Brooker's Dead Set, which is zombies in the Big Brother house. It was on E4 and Channel 4 last year and is available on DVD, and is very good indeed.

Watched this again today. Still thrilled by it. As a veteran horror fanatic, this gives me the creeps. The diffusion of tension is great... At any rate, just now I read that there might be as many as 13 sightings of the creepy crossdresser.
