Since New jesery is so close to NYC i dont think anyone would be overwhelmed working here or act like its across the country. Or act like they are leaving forever. In some areas it might be a 35 mintue drive

I'm from Brooklyn & went to school in Staten Island with lots of people from NJ, & so I've seen firsthand how to a lot of people that close to Manhattan, the city might as well be 500 miles away. They just don't go & to move there would be a big deal.
$300 cash a day 5 days a week for let's say 48 weeks a year is $72,000, all of which is certainly not being declared to the IRS, so I'd say that's pretty good. And that's just tips...she's also probably getting a very, very small on-the-books salary from the bar. So yes, not corporate lawyer-nice, but it's cash :)
