Shockingly bad film
Bad,bad,bad.
Oh, so bad.
I got more scared clipping my toenails afterward.

It's funny because even though you only said "Bad, bad, bad, Oh, so bad", it basically sums up the whole film!
IT WAS TERRIBLE! Probably the worst film I've ever seen and boy have I seen some shockers!
I still don't understand how John Logan, the writer of Gladiator and Aviator has come to write this ... can someone explain this to me?
sharei wasn't shocked by how bad it was
shareOne of the best films I've seen in a while, but I'm into this sort of thing.
shareBad...
I started to watch it an hour ago, it's getting worse and worse. And it makes no sense.
It's not really "bad bad" but "good bad".. ;)
I had a good laugh watching it!
I got more scared playing Super Mario. :(
shareYeah this movie rocks here's a newsflash this film was made to be a stupid fun halloween movie and that's what it is . Bats is not trying to win an oscar IMO a movie should only be labled as " the worst movie I've ever seen" if it's a movie where you expect it to be great and it just sucks but with bats what you see is what you get.

I didn't think it was bad at all. I saw BATS in a theater on Friday afternoon, October 22, 1999, the day it opened, and had been looking foward to it. And in a bit of irony, this was right after I had given blood at the Red Cross in Charlotte, NC, which I had done regularly every eight weeks when eligible (from March, 1998 until October, 2002). I had gone to a theater right after these times from May, 1999 until June, 2001 to see a movie, partly because they say to drink extra non alcoholic beverages after giving that day, and this was an opportunity to get a large soft drink with free refills. This was one of those times, but I did think it was ironic I'd be seeing a movie about bats right after had given blood. But a similair thing happened one year earlier with me and the movie Vampires (see its posting). But I did like it, and went up to a second run theater to see it some more times in November, 1999. I thought it was scary in certain parts, as well as very exciting throughout, and had well drawn characters and a good plot and direction. And it did make very good use of the rural and small town settings (and I thought the BATS themselves were convincing as well).
