Heh! I felt like I was 10 years old again when I watched it.
F uck Pirates of the Caribbean, It's all about Spider-Man and Grindhouse!
Well, I paid full-retail when it was released, and it was worth every penny to me..........sure, it ain't "Hamlet", but then again, I pretty much knew what I was getting with the title "Bats", and the cast. To me, it's perfect, mindless entertainment that I prefer to watch when I've had a really rough day at work, and just want some good 'ol fun. I thought the tone and effects were pitch-perfect........I'm just waiting for the sequel!! LOL!! I know that won't happen, but I can dream..................
shareI've never seen the movie, but parts of it were shot in my home town. Also, when I was working at Best Buy in South Salt Lake City, I met the wife of the creator or director or something who said herself that the movie wasn't that great and that her family owns one of the props - a giant bat. I definately want to check it out, though I hear it's crappy. But when you go into a movie knowing it's going to be bad, it usually turns out better than your expectations. Earlier this year, for example, I re-watched all of the 80's/90's Batman movies, knowing that they were going to be crappy. In the end, the best to the worst movies were as follows (contrary to popular opinion):
Batman Forever
Batman
Batman & Robin
Batman Returns
When you watch a movie expecting it to be bad, it can turn out to be good. Just try it.
Hey Kokomadeta, I still found this film to be highly entertaining, it is what it is----I wasn't bored, and there were some very decent effects---like I said before, perfect popcorn fodder!! And you should definately check it out since you'll be familiar with some of the scenery.
