This movie was okay

I liked the acting jobs, but it wasn't all that I thought it was cracked up to be. As a Donnie Wahlberg fan, I guess I had my hopes up very high.

Although I loved the scene in his undies and when he said he blew his load! That was classic!

I agree the movie was just 'OKAY'. I thought the acting was good but the plot did not have enought twists and the dialogue was just adaquate. I mainly kept comparing this film with Tarantino's Jackie Brown because Robert Forster's character was very similar to the one he played in J.B. but without the depth and complexity. I guessed the ending of Diamond Men but Jackie Brown kept me wondering until the very last scene, or second to last scene. Also, didn't Bess Armstrong play the waitress in one of the cheesy diners they ate at earlier in the film? She looked a lot different but it made it confusing for me later on. I'm not sure and I don't want to rent the film again to find out.

I thought the movie needed more twists too. One of the user's thought that the movie's twist at the end was too much, but if it was too much, then I think leaving that out would leave the movie at almost on a Midwest plain- in other words so boring there's nothing to do. They could've had like Cherry get a quickie marriage with Bobby, and then have Bobby convince his new wife, Cherry, to meet his friend Eddie. And as Bobby and Cherry head to Mexico, Cherry's "friends" could be chasing them to Eddie's.

The movie makes me wonder if prostitution is legal in Pennsylvania.

I liked it too. I know an old-fashioned jewelry salesman that pulled the same stunt, lol.

about half in and too many cliches.

I agree. The film was watchable but boring in places. I wouldn't watch it twice.
