Wow, what a nice surprise!

Great movie, I just had to tell someone about it. I just finished seeing it on Showtime and I loved it. Absolutely GREAT acting and a really down to earth, low key storytelling that totally catches your interest!

Wahlberg and Forster make a great "couple" and the little twist at the end made this a perfect afternoon movie-moment for me!

Yes! What a pleasant surprise indeed. I got this from Netflix by mistake, thinking Robert Forster was a different man (namely, director Marc Forster). It's description would normally not have interested me, but what a wonderful surprise! If you want to see a movie whose title is a turn off, but is, for me anyway, a fabulous find, try "Marilyn Hotchkiss Ballroom Dancing & Charm School". Unusual -- with another great performance by Donnie Wahlberg!

Funny. I don't see how the movie could have been such a "surprise" to you, since your post is an obvious paid plant, as seen widely on IMDB message boards.

Busted!

How, exactly, is that an "obvious paid plant"?
It could be... but probably isn't. And who cares anyway? It's not like the person's lying. This is a hidden gem, a nice surprise. It does have great acting. Am I a paid plant too? I wish. I could use the money.

We had recorded it and after the first few minutes started to delete it, and then decided to give it a try. How glad that we did.

This was plot driving, regular guys in a realistic situation. No great acting or writing was required, and the effort would have detracted.

We were rooting for a Hollywood ending, and this reminded us why such finishes sustained so many for so long.

Cool.
