I don't know how many of you have heard, but I have some very sad news to announce. The great author of our beloved Redwall Series, Brian Jacques, passed away on the 5th of February 2011.
R.I.P. Brian Jacques, thank you for sharing the world of Martin the Warrior, and may you forever hold a place in our hearts.

My God, I didn't hear anything, and it's been a long time since I read one of his books...
RIP indeed, Mr. Jacques, you were certainly one of my favourite writers as a kid. Thank you for the books you gave us..
I just found out yesterday. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to meet him some while ago, when he was in my town promoting "The Redwall Cookbook." There were many children in the audience, and the way he was able to keep them engaged was amazing to watch.
"David Warner, you are under arrest by order of David Warner!"
RIP BJacques. Your stories REDWALL and MATTIMEO are awesome and will always get my personal recommendation and honour.
